TK 1.12 crore Idian sari seized in Comilla

COMILLA: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members seized Indian sari and three pieces worth Tk 1.12 crore from Harisarder Bazar area of Chouddagram Upazila Wednesday night.

BGB Habilder Fazlul Haque told banglanews, “Acting on a tip off, the BGB personnel conducted a drive in the area and recovered the contraband at about 8pm.”

Sensing the presence of BGB members, the smugglers managed to flee the scene.

The cloths would be submitted to Comilla customs godown.
