Putul tells banglanews

‘I dream of a Sonar Bangla of equal rights’

NEW YORK: Chair of the National Advisory Committee on Autism Saima Wazed Hossain (Putul) wants not only the economic emancipation but she dreams for a ‘Sonar Bangla’, where equal rights will be ensured to all.

She made the remarks in an exclusive interview with banglanews after addressing the UN panel discussion on Autism.

Saima Wazed, daughter of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, joined the reception hosted by Bangladesh Mission at the UN.

Mentioning the leading role of Bangladesh in creating awareness on autism, she said, “Bangladesh will definitely achieve their desired goal.”

She added: “I strongly believe autistic children will live lively with equal rights and dignity in our society.”

Putul said that she decided to work for the autistic children from the very beginning of her life.

She said, “Autistic children shouldn’t be neglected by the society, rather they need proper care. I want to work to ensure their equal rights and dignity in our society.”
