One crushed under train in city

DHAKA: A person was crushed under the wheels of a train in city’s Tejgaon slum area Thursday morning.

The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Kamlapur GRP Thana ASI Emdadul Haque told banglanews, “Dhaka-bound train ‘Dhmketu’ hit the person in the morning, leaving him dead on the spot.”

On information, police rushed in and recovered the body.

The body will be handed over to Anjuman Mofidul Islam for burial. An unnatural death case was filed in this connection with GRP Thana, said the ASI.
