DINAJPUR: A convicted prisoner of the district jail died while undergoing treatment at Dinajpur Medical College Hospital, passed away on Thursday midnight.
The deceased was Abdul Bajet, 60, son of Syed ALi of Biral upazila in the district.
Kotwali Thana OC Aslam Iqbal told banglanews, “When Bajet felt chest pain in the district jail at about 10pm he was taken to Jail Hospital.”
Later, he was shifted to Dinajpur Medical College Hospital as his condition deteriorated where he died under treatment at about 11:30pm.
Bajet was convicted in murder and drug cases.
