DHAKA: The convener of Nagorik Andolon Mahmudur Rahman Manna categorically said the government is seeking militants’ connection in the movement of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET).
“Each and every student of the university wants resignation of the VC,” he claimed.
The senior politician of the country came up with the observation while addressing a discussion held at the National Press Club Sunday.
Mahmudur Rahman said, “The government did not take any initiative to resolve the existing crisis in BUET by removing its VC.”
Teachers’ Association of the university is staging movements to press home their 16-point demand that include mainly the resignation of the VC and Pro-VC.
The discussion was also addressed, among others, by AKM Golam Mohiuddin and Advocate Monjil Morshed.
