Muhith delivering speech

DHAKA: President M Zillur Rahman Thursday authenticated the 41st national budget for fiscal 2012-13 and the revised budget of 2011-12 prior to placing them before the parliament session.

The president authenticated the budget at his office in the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban.

Deputy Speaker Shawkat Ali, Finance Secretary Dr Mohammad Tareque and Chairman of National Board of Revenue (NBR) Dr M Nasiruddiun Ahmed were present during the budget review session.

The grand-alliance government is placing its fourth and 41st national budget of the country for the fiscal year 2012-2013 in parliament Thursday.  

The budget session has already been started and Finance Minister AMA Muhith is delivering the budget speech.

This will be the sixth budget for Muhith as finance minister in two stints.
