DHAKA: The country’s inflation has stood at 5.86 percent point increasing by 0.90 percent in October compared to the previous month.
Deputy Director General of Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS) Mizanur Rahman made the disclosure in a press conference at BBS office on Monday afternoon.
He told the journalists that, according to base year 2005-2006, the inflation rate stood 5.86 percent in October which was 4.96 percent in September.
The food inflation stood 2.51 percent in October while it was 1.75 percent in September, the newsmen were told.
The deputy director general of the BBS also told the journalist that the inflation rate stood 5.14 in rural level in October while in urban level 7.26 percent.
