3 kids drown in Khulna

KHULNA: Three minors, including two siblings, drowned in a ditch while playing at Naihati village under Rupsha upazila of the district on Thursday afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Shanu, 3, daughter of Dinu of the village, Yasin Jowadar, 4, and Insan Jowadar, 3, sons of Jony Jowadar of the same village.

Nahati Union Parishad Chairman Moni Kamal told banglanews: “The kids drowned in a ditch adjacent their house while playing around 12:00 noon.”

Later, the family members recovered their floating body.
