DHAKA: Opposition leader and BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia visited Biswajit Das’s house on Tuesday.
The opposition Chief consoled the grief-stricken family members of the deceased youth, who was killed in an attack by a group of BCL leaders and activists during Sunday’s blockade.
Biswajit, a 24-year-old and a tailor in profession, came under attack near capital’s Victoria Park in front of Jagannath University.
BCL activists took Biswajit, who came from Shariatpur district, for a pro-blockade activist, witnesses observed following the attack.
Deceased’s elder brother Uttam Das and sister-in law are the residents of Rishikesh Das road in Laxmibazar area for seven years.
Family sources said Biswajit had no involvement with any political party.
