Stocks witnessing fall

DHAKA: Trading on the country’s two bourses is underway showing antipathy in share-price indices on Thursday.

The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) general index shed over 15 points minus to stand at 4,102 at 1:35 pm on the last trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 50,719 with transaction at Tk 1,619 million. Of the issues traded, 130 advanced, 93 declined and 29 remained unchanged.

GP topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 170 million having changed hands during the time.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 7875 by dropping over 100 points at 1:29 pm.

Out of the issues traded, 66 gained, 82 declined and 27 remained unchanged.
