PABNA: A man was killed and 19 others were injured in a clash between two groups of villagers over land dispute in Thanapara area under Atgharia upazila on Thursday evening.
The deceased was identified as Riaz Uddin 32, son of Alauddin Ali of the same area.
Besides, police held Abdul Majid, 33, and Amjad Hossain of the same area regarding the matter at night and they will be produced before court on Friday.
Atgharia Thana OC Islam told banglanews, “Aziz group and Alauddin group locked into a clash over construction of a house on the disputed land around 12:30pm, injuring 20 people on the spot.
Some of the injured were admitted to Pabna Medical College Hospital in a critical condition where Riaz succumbed to his injuries around 5pm.
