DHAKA: Two government officials were issued show cause notice while another staff was suspended for negligence in duty.
They are—executive engineer of Bagerhat district Roads and Highway Department Md. Moniruzzaman, assistant estate officer of railway Pakshi zone Ashish Chakrabarty and carpenter Mosharraf Hossain.
Communications and rail minister Obidul Quader issued show cause notice to Moniruzzaman for negligence in duty while visiting Khulna-Mongla road on Friday afternoon.
Meanwhile, he directed the secretary for RHD, MAN Siddique, to take necessary action against the official.
Earlier in the day, he issued another show cause notice to Ashish Chakrabarty and suspended Mosharraf on basis of specific complaints while visiting Khulna rail station.
Rail and Communications ministries issued separate notices in this connection on Friday afternoon.
