Speakers said this at a seminar on ‘Barrier of Industrialization in Bangladesh and Way to Move Forward’ Saturday held at the National Press Club.

Bangladesh Jubo Arthanitibid Forum (BJAF) organized the seminar.

Researcher Zakaria Haider presented the keynote at the seminar chaired by BJAF president Mirza Walid Hossain.

Professor AKM Golam Hossain of Jahangirnagar University, expatriate businessman Sohrab Hossain, Professor Dr Ali Noor and Professor Dr Amtas Hossain of Islamic University, alternative energy researcher Sheikh Mahbubul Huq, BJAF researcher Zannatul Ferdus and Court Reporters’ Association president Ashraful Alam spoke.

Addressing the seminar, Professor Golam Hossain said Bangladesh has a total of 15 crore people labour market, which is very potential for the expansion of industrialization.

“The foreign and local investors would not be encouraged to invest here until the infrastructures are developed,” said Professor Amtas Hossain.

Professor Ali Noor made comment saying corruption is the main barrier for the industrialization.
