JAHANGIRNAGAR UNIVERSITY: A 20-year long deal was signed on Saturday between Dhaka Palli Biddut Samity-1 and Jahangirnagar University (JU) to install a power substation on the campus soon for uninterrupted electricity.
Professor Nasir Uddin, treasurer of the university signed the deal with the presence of JU Vice-Chancellor Professor Anwar Hossain.
The substation building will be set up on an area of 22.04 decimals on the campus near the Dhaka-Aricha highway, sources said.
