Section 144 imposed in Satkhira

SATKHIRA : Local administration imposed section 144 in Debhati upazila as Awami League and BNP convened separate programmes on same time at same venue on Wednesday.

Debhata upazila UNO Shakhawat Hossain told banglanews, “Apprehending disturbance of law-and-order situation, the local administration imposed section 144 in Debhati upazila from 7:00am to 6:00pm.”

Debhata upazila BNP President Sirajul Islam told banglanews, local BNP a convened meeting in the Puralia auditorium to mark the death annioversary of Shaheed Zia while the union-unit Awami League a protest meeting on the same time.
