DHAKA: Secretaries have decided to donate their one festive allowance for constructing the much talked Padma Bridge in a bid to extend support to the government.
The decision came from a meeting of committee of Secretaries on Wednesday.
Emerging from the meeting, Cabinet Secretary M Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan disclosed it to journalists.
He said, “The secretaries will provide the donations in two installments. Amongst them, one installment will be given in Eid-ul-Fitr and another in Eid-ul-Azha.”
A total of 48 secretaries will donate in the project, he added.
