CHITTAGONG: A five-member investigation committee was formed to look into incident of concrete girders of the under construction flyover collapse at Bahaddarhat in the port city.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of the district Khaled Mamun Chowdhury was made the convener of the probe committee.
The other members of the committee are Executive Engineer of Local Government and Rural Development Department Toffazzel Ahmed, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Chittagong Metropolitan Police Mohammad Shahidullah, Civil Surgeon Office representative Dr Ahsanul Haque and relief officer Abdul Malek.
The convener of the committee told journalists that they would submit the probe report to the authorities concerned within three days.
The death toll in the tragic girders of the under construction flyover collapse on Saturday night rose to 14.
The deceased were identified as Mamun, 30, Rasel, 26, Omar Faruk, 33, Hafizul Mia, 16, Sohel Mia, 30, Nazma Akter, 26, Ripon Dhjar, 26, Shahabuddin, 20 while the identity of others could not be known.
