DINAJPUR: One activist of Bangladesh Chhatra League was killed in a fractional clash in Hazi Mohammad Danesh Science & Technology University (HDSTU) of the District Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Mahfuz Biplob, 25, son of Babla, hailed from Thakurgaon District. He was joint general secretary of HDSTU Chhatra League.
An HDSTU source said BCL activist Mrinal Goswami chopped Biplob severely following a past feud between HDSTU BCL president and general secretary.
He was rushed to Dinajpur Medical College Hospital where doctor declared him dead, the source added.
Police Super of Dinajpur Moynul Islam told banglanews, “We have identified the culprit and he will be held soon.”
