Truck kills minor in Munshiganj

MUSHIGANJ: A minor girl was run over by a truck in Noyagaon area on Munshiganj-Mukterpur road on Saturday morning.

The deceased was identified as Oshi Akter, 5, daughter of Jahir Uddin of Mirershar area.

A recklessly driven truck rammed Oshi around 8:00 am in front of president Iajuddin Ahmed Residential School and College, leaving her injured critically, said witnesses.

Locals rushed her to Munshiganj General Hospital where duty doctor declared her dead.

Confirming the accident, Munshiganj Sadar police station Inspector Md Siddique told banglanews that the truck driver was held and the vehicle also seized.
