Officials, educator to be quest speakers at PTI

DHAKA: The government has decided to invite guest speakers at the training sessions of Primary Training Institutes (PTIs) to enrich the trainees with the knowledge of information and communication technology.

The ministry of primary and mass education issued a gazette notification in this regard, an official statement said Thursday.

The official statement also said the government has taken initiative for setting set up 12 more PTIs in 12 districts in the country in addition to existing 55 PTIs in 51 districts for training of the primary teachers.

According to the official notification, high ups of the ministry concerned, divisional commissioners and other officials would be included in the list of the guest speakers.

Besides, deputy commissioners, government officials and academicians would have scope to deliver valuable speeches at the PTI’s training programme.

Mentioning primary education as the main development pillar of the nation, the ministry has taken the initiative to make education befitting the 21st to the century, it said.
