CANADA: The 145th Canada Day was observed in the country on July 1 with traditional costume rally and flying colorful balloons in the sky.
National Bangladeshi-Canadian Council (NBCC) hosted the celebration at the Gare Jean Talon Park at about 12:00 noon.
The celebration began with hoisting Canadian flag while Christine Caldoran sang the Canadian national anthem with the presence of children.
It was one of the biggest Canada Day party with multicultural Canadian communities at ParK-Extension Montreal.
Thousands of people attended with their children’s dressed in red and white with traditional costume crowded onto the lawns in Jean Talon Park in front of Loblaws, a super market on top of metro Park to celebrate Canada’s 145th birthday.
A delicious cake was made by Loblaws in the shape of the Canadian flag and it was cut by the host of the event, the city councillor Mary Deros.
Monir Hossain, the president of the NBCC and coordinator of the Parc-Ex Canada Day Celebration-2012, told to the audience that this is what Bangladeshi-Canadian Council trying hard for integrating multicultural-Canadian communities into the Canadian and Quebecker social systems.
