Bus-auto collision in Bhola: injured 11

BHOLA: At least 11 people were injured as a speeding bus crashed into an auto-rickshaw at Kungerhat under Borhanuddin Upazila on Bhola-Char Fashion road Friday morning.

Off injured, the condition of a woman is critical, sources said.

Earlier, police and locals confirmed to banglanews that a female passenger was killed in the accident.

She was admitted to Barisal Sher-e-Bagnla Medical College Hospital, hospital sources informed banglanews at 11am.  

Quoting locals, Borhanuddin Thana OC Md. Anayet Hossain told banglanews, “A Char Fashion-bound passenger bus collided with an auto-rickshaw at about 8:15am in the area, leaving 11 passengers injured.”

Among injured, four were admitted to Borhanuddin Hospital.

Following the accident, agitating locals put up barricades on the Bhola-Char Fashion road.
