DHAKA: Shivnarine Chanderpaul, who scored unbeaten 109, took over run-making duties in the second session on 3rd day of first innings of 2nd Test against Bangladesh at Khulna’s Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium on Friday.
To end the day, total run of visiting West Indies was 564 for four wickets in 172 over.
Chanderpaul and Ramdin are unbeaten with 109 and 4 runs respectively while Samuels return to pavilion scoring 260 runs.
Bravo, Gayle and Powell scored 127, 25 and 13. Sohag bagged wickets of Bravo and Gayle while Rubel bagged Samuel and Powell’s wickets.
Earlier, Bangladesh lost all wickets to score 387 in 91.1 over in first innings.
History maker Abul Hasan scored 113 before giving a catch to Sammy.
Abul Hasan became the first ever batsman in 110 years to score a century from number 10 on debut.
Mahmudullah and Tamim Iqbal took 76 and 32 runs while Shahriar Nafees, Naeem Islam, Shakib Al Hasan, Nasir Hossain and Mushfiqur Rahim returned to the pavilion scoring 26, 16, 17, 52 and 38 runs respectively.
Pacer Fidel Edwards bagged six wickets, Captain Darren Sammy three and Permaul one.
Earlier on Wednesday morning, Mushfiqur Rahim won the toss and elected to bat.

On November 17, the visitors beat the host by 77 runs in their first Test match at Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium.
The West Indies cricket team arrived on a month-long tour in Dhaka on November 5 to play a full- fledged series against host Bangladesh.
The first and second one-dayers will take place in Khulna on November 30 and December 2 respectively.
The remaining three one-dayers will be held in Dhaka on December 5, 7 and 8 respectively while the lone Twenty20 game will be held on December 10 in the capital.
