HABIGANJ: Some 300 leaders and activists of BNP and its front organizations were sued for attacking police and vandalizing restaurant during a clash between two factions of the party.
Habiganj Sadar Thana SI Nurul Islam and Kalapata Restaurant Manager Selim Uddin filed two cases under speedy trial tribunal in this connection on early Thursday.
Habiganj Sadar Thana OC Mozammel Haque confirmed the matter to banglanews.
Earlier on Wednesday evening, two factions of BNP locked into a clash in a preparatory meeting held at the press club auditorium ahead of Khaleda Zia’s Habiganj visit on October 6.
Besides, around 30 people including cops were injured in the clash.
