Parveen Sultana musical evening Jul 6

DHAKA: A Musical Evening by eminent Bangladeshi exponent Ms. Parveen Sultana will be held at Indira Gandhi Culture Centre of Indian High Commission in Dhaka on July 6.

The evening will be held at 6:30pm in association with the State Bank of India in Bangladesh which will be open for all with free of cost.

Born in a music-loving family, Ms Sultana commenced her musical career at the young age of 6 years and trained under legendary Ustads like Mithun Dey, Sanjib Dey, Khaled Hossain and Akhter Sadmani.

She is specialized in Nazrul Geeti and Modern and Folk songs and has released several popular albums (32 albums) till date.

She is enlisted as a Special Grade artist for the Bangladesh TV and Bangladesh Betar and is also a regular performer for prominent private TV channels in Bangladesh.

Ms. Sultana has won several prestigious awards for her musical accomplishments including the “Citicell-Channel I Award” for Best Nazrul Geeti Album in January 2010.

She has also travelled abroad extensively for musical performances to the UK, Canada, India, China, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, UAE, Egypt and South Africa.
