PABNA: A schoolboy was killed in a clash between two groups of villagers over watering land in Madhupur Purbapara village under Sujanagar upazila on Monday evening.
The deceased was identified as Biplob Hossain, 14, son of Nazrul Islam. He was a class-VIII student of Madhupur High School.
Sujanagar Thana OC Syed Shahid Alam told banglanews Biplob engaged in an altercation with his uncle and cousins over watering onion field around 5:30pm.
At one stage, they locked in a clash that left Biplob and his uncle Ohab Sheikh injured.
They were admitted to Pabna Medical College Hospital. Later, Biplob was shifted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries around 8am Tuesday.
The body was kept at rmch morgue for autopsy.
