DHAKA: BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia on Saturday will distribute foods among the destitute at different parts of the city as part of its four-day programme, marking the 31st death anniversary of Ziaur Rahman, the founder of BNP.
Khaleda also distributed foods among the destitute at different parts of the city in the last three days.
BNP central leaders distributed foods among distressed people at Kuril Biswa Road, Uttar Khan and Nikunju where Khaleda could not go.
Dhaka city unit BNP organised the programme on the occasion of death anniversary of Ziaur Rahman.
President Ziaur Rahman was born on January 19, 1936 at Bagbari under Gabtoli upazila in Bogra.
Zia was assassinated on May 30, in 1981 by a group of disgruntled army officers at Chittagong Circuit House.
