Higher education workshop begins at UGC

DHAKA: A three-day long workshop on ‘Strengthening Leadership Capacity in Higher Education` began at UGC Thursday.

UGC Chairman Prof AK Azad Chowdhury was present at the inaugural function as the chief guest.

The British Council and University Grants Commission (UGC) jointly organized the programme.

Among others, UGC members Professor Atful Shibly, Professor M Mohabbat Khan, Professor Abul Hashem, Professor M Akhtar Hossain and its secretary Dr M Khaled were among others present on the occasion.

Addressing the workshop, Professor Azad said, “Leadership is important in everywhere, including the highest academia.”

Dr Hank Williams, a Management Consultant of the United Kingdom is conducting the workshop.
