Workers-cops clash in N’ganj: 30 injured

NARAYANGANJ: At least 30 people were injured including cops, journalists and workers in a clash between police and workers of Metro Knitwear in Kather Pool area of Fatulla Monday night.

Witnesses said workers of the factory engaged in fish fighting with the officers over a trifle matter at about 5:30pm.

Later, a tripartite meeting of worker-owner-police was held to resolve the problem at 7pm. But the workers got angered during the meeting.

The angry workers carried out vandalism inside the factory at 10pm. Meanwhile, they locked in clash with police that left 30 injured.
