DHAKA: State Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Advocate Qumarul Islam Friday said there is no alternative of unconditional dialogue.
The minister made the remarks while addressing a meeting commemorating noted scientist Dr Wazed Mia organized by Bangabandhu Evaluation and Research Sangsad at Shilpakala Academy.
“Caretaker Government system is a dead issue. There is no opportunity of talking about it. Come to the parliament and give formula for forming non-political interim government,” said Quamrul.
Indicating BNP, he said, “Unelected government can not be an alternative of elected government. So dialogue is must for holding fair election under interim government.”
He apprised that the government is ready for any compromise to make the next national election fair.
With president of Bangabandhu Evaluation and Research Sangsad Siddique Hossain in the chair, the meeting was also addressed, among others, by Awami League organizing secretary Ahmed Hossain, secretary general of Bangabandhu Academy Humayun Kabir and president of Awami Muktijoddha League MA Mujib Bulu.
