College student killed in Pirojpur

PIROJPUR: A college student was chopped to death by unidentified miscreants in Kalikathi area of Pirojpur sadar on Thursday evening.

The deceased was identified as Solaiman, son of Habibur Rahman.

Solaiman was an honors 2nd-year student Economics Department of Pirojpur Government Suhrawardi College.

Police held three persons for their alleged involvement in this connection.

They are Rustam, Mohsin and Rasel.

Deceased family sources said Solaiman was killed by goons of Badokhali village following a long standing dispute between youths of Kalikathi and Badokhali village.

Officer-in-Charge of Pirojpur sadar thana Jahangir Hossain said, “The body was sent to morgue, police held three persons and a case was filed in this connection.”
