THAKURGAON: Two Bangladeshi farmers received bullets wounds as Indian Security Force (BSF) opened fire at them on Mandumala frontier under Baliadangi upazila on Thursday night.
The injured are Toriqul Islam, 26, son of Kaiyum Ali of Moradhor village and Firoz Mahmud, 25, son of Jamal Uddin of Kashibari village in the upazila.
Sources said BSF personnels of Sonamati camp opened fire on Firoz and Toriqul around 2:00am while they were looking out their paddy filed near the main pillar no. 382, leaving them wounded.
Locals rushed them to Rangpur Medical College Hospital.
Thakurgaon BGB-20 battalion commander Colonel Towhidul Islam told banglanews that he had heard about the incident. Information is being collected for details.
