RAJSHAHI: Indian Border Security Force (BSF) on Friday abducted four Bangladeshi fishermen from Charghat border in the district.
The fishermen are—Biplob, Bachchu, Liton and Monirul of Gopalpur village.
Sources said BSF jawans picked them up entering inside Bangladesh border early Friday while they were catching fishes in River Padma.
Confirming the matter, BGB Charghat company commander Hossain Ali said, “We contacted with BSF authority for bringing them back. But, they were produced before an Indian court on Friday.”
“But, we will try to bring them back as soon as possible”, he added.
