DHAKA: Election Commission (EC) has decided to utilize ultra modern technology for monitoring the 10th National Parliament elections.
The decision came up from a meeting organized by Strengthening Election Management in Bangladesh (SEMB) project Wednesday.
Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Kazi Rakib Uddin Ahmed, Election Commissioners Mohammad Abu Hafiz, Mohammad Abdul Mubarak, Brigadier General (retd) Zabed Ali, Mohammad Shahnewaz and EC Secretary Dr Mohammad Sadik were among others present in the meeting.
EC Secretary Mohammad Sadik told banglanews that decision has been taken to install strong network along with maximum use of technology, to ease up instant monitoring.
The meeting sources said the plan has been taken to increase the transparency and accountability in the next general election.
