BNP leader shot dead in Jessore

JESSORE: A BNP leader was shot to death by unidentified assailants in Avay Nagar upazila in the district on Thursday night.

The deceased was identified as Lutfur Rahman, 55, general secretary of Avay Nagar municipality BNP.

Source said assailants shot him dead at about 10pm while he was taking tea at a local stall. Meanwhile, the criminals left the scene exploding five bombs.”
