FENI: At least five people were injured in BNP infighting over establishing supremacy in Gazaria road area in Dagon Bhuiyan Bazar of the district on Tuesday evening.
The injured are Jashim Uddin, 42, Omar Faruk, 20, Osman, 22 sons of Sultan Ahmed of Shreedharpur village and Moin Uddin, 22, and Didar, 30 sons of late Abul Khayer.
Sources said the group members attacked each other with lethal weapons around 4:00pm.
Later, the injured were admitted to Dagon Bhuiyan Upazila Health Complex.
Confirming the matter Dagon Bhuiyan Thana SI Alamgir Hossain told banglanews: “Police has visited the spot and action will be taken against the culprits once filed with written complain.”
