Cabinet committee approves purchase proposal

DHAKA: The cabinet committee on purchase approved a proposal for procuring 88 air-conditioned buses through international tender from Indian Company Ashok Lay-Land involving $60.98 lakh.     

Moreover, the committee approved four more proposals.

A meeting of the cabinet body held Monday at the Cabinet Division with Finance Minister AMA Muhith in the chair gave the approval.

Deputy Secretary of the Cabinet Division Ali Hossain informed reporters about the decisions after the meeting.

The buses will be purchased under the loan of $100 crore of Indian government of which $60.98 lakh will be cost to purchase the buses, Ali added.
