DHAKA: Office hours during the month of holy Ramadan will be from 9:30am to 4:30pm with prayer break from 1:15pm to 1:30pm for commercial banks of the country.
Transaction will be open till 2:30pm daily.
A circular of Bangladesh Bank Off-site Supervision Department disclosed the matter Wednesday.
Besides, office hours during the month of holy Ramadan will be from 9:00am to 3:30pm with same prayer break for government, semi-government, autonomous and semi-autonomous organizations.
The Public Administration Ministry made the disclosure through a notification issued on Monday.
“The Supreme Court and other institutions would set the Ramadan timetable at their conveniences,” it added.
Moreover, bank, insurance, financial institutions, railway, hospital, state-run industries, mills, factories and emergency public utility service offices will fix timetable according to their own rules during Ramadan.
