CHITTAGONG: Detective Branch of Police (DB) in separate drive held two drug peddlers with 417 pieces of Yaba tablets and 1.5 kg of cannabis from Khulshi Thana area on Thursday night.
The detainees are Abdur Rahman, 25, and Salamat Ullah, 47.
According to press release, acting on a tip-off, DB police held them while conducting two separate anti narcotic drives in Khulshi Thana area from 10:00pm to 12:00pm.
Later, police recovered 417 pieces of Yaba tablets from Abdur Rahman and 1.5 kg of cannabis from Salamat Ullah.
Police said the estimated cost of the Yaba tablets is TK 1 lakh 25 thousand and TK 18 thousand. A case was filed with the thana under the Narcotic Control Act.
Sources said the detainees were engaged with such activities for a longtime.
