RANGPUR: At least three people were killed and three others injured in separate road accidents in different upazilas of the district.
The deceased were identified as Anwara Begum, 45, wife of Amzad Hossain of Dakkhin Muksudpur village under Ramnathpur union of Badarganj upazila, truck helper Ismail Hossain, 40, and Motorcyclist Ataur Rahman, 25.
In Badarganj upazila, a tractor ran over Anwara in front of Badarganj BRAC office around 1:00pm on Wednesday, leaving her dead on the spot.
In another incident, a passenger bus crushed into a motorbike in Natun Bridge area on Rangpur-Phulbari road on Wednesday noon, leaving the motorbike rider Ataur dead on the spot.
Besides, a Bogra-bound truck knocked another truck from behind on Rangpur-Dhaka highway on Tuesday night, leaving the helper Ismail dead on the spot and three others injured.
On information, police recovered the bodies and sent to Rangpur Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
Different cases were filed in these connections, police sources said.
