DSE trading hr in Ramadan 11am-2pm

DHAKA: Trading hours during the month of holy Ramadan will be from 11am to 2pm without any break in Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), country’s top bourse.   

Office hours during the month of holy Ramadan will be from 10am to 4pm daily.

Besides, all activities of DSE will be stopped for 11 strait days from August 15 to 26 for various reasons.  
The decision came from the 709 th DSE board meeting.

As per the decision, the DSE trading and official activities will be stopped for 11 days due to weekly holiday, death anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Shab-e-Qdr, Eid-ul-Fitr, special holiday.

Besides, office hours during the month of holy Ramadan will be from 9:00am to 3:30pm with same prayer break for government, semi-government, autonomous and semi-autonomous organizations.

The Public Administration Ministry made the disclosure through a notification issued on Monday.

“The Supreme Court and other institutions would set the Ramadan timetable at their conveniences,” it added.

Moreover, bank, insurance, financial institutions, railway, hospital, state-run industries, mills, factories and emergency public utility service offices will fix timetable according to their own rules during Ramadan.
