KHULNA: A devastating fire broke out at Khulna Shopping Complex in the city on Friday night.
District Sadar thana OC Sahabuddin Azad said, “The fire broke out at about 10pm. A number of teams of police and fire fighters are jointly working to douse the fire.”
However, they failed to put out the blaze till filing the report at about 12am.
Witnesses said the fire originated after a huge blast of a battery of an easy-bike adjacent to the shopping mall and soon engulfed the entire building.
The extent of damage could not be known immediately.
