DHAKA: The National Parliament expressed solidarity with the demonstrators who thronged at Shahbagh intersection demanding capital punishment of war criminals.
Speaker Advocate Abdul Hamid came up with the announcement of solidarity after Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s speech on Sunday.
He said, “We pay solidarity and support with Shahbagh protestors. We will discuss about it in parliament by notice if it is required.”
Thousands of people form all walks of life gathered in capital Shahbagh demanding death penalty of war criminals who committed crimes against humanity during liberation war in 1971.
