JU student found dead in city

DHAKA: A student of Jahangirnagar University (JU) was found dead in Banglamotor area of the city on Sunday night.

The deceased was identified as Faisal Karim Antu, a 38th batch student of the Department of Urban and Regional Planning of the university.

But none--police and the JU authorities--could ascertain reasons behind the death.

JU Proctor Dr Sohel Ahmed told banglanews that the body was found on the roof of a tin-shed construction under the Planners’ Tower in the area.

He said police recovered the body. “We are a group of teachers are on way to the spot.” he said.

JU sources said Antu was a residential student of the university and used to live at room number 219 of Maulana Bhashani Hall.
