DHAKA: The parliamentary standing committee on commerce ministry Thursday expressed satisfaction over the daily commodity prices.
Committee chairman ABM Abul Kashem expressed satisfaction while visiting Kitchen Market in the city’s Kawran Bazar area at around 11am.
ABM Abul Kashem told banglanews we are visiting the market to bring down the prices of daily commodity before the upcoming Ramadan.
He told the journalists, “Presently, the commodity prices are bearable but the committee has suggested commerce ministry to increase import to bring down the prices of salt and edible oil.”
He added the committee would again visit the markets before Ramadan.
Among others, leaders of all the concern associations were present during the market visit.
