SYLHET: Some 15 leaders and activists of Chhatra Shibir were held from different parts of the metropolis early Monday for their alleged involvement in Sunday’s clash between Chhatra League and Chhatra Shibir of MC College unit.
Sylhet Metropolitan Police (SMP) held them in separate drives in different Shibir-controlled student dorms.
Shah Paran Thana police told police conducted a drive at residence in suburb area of the city and picked up Shibir secretary of Sylhet govt College unit Mamun Hossain and Shibir president of MC College Dorm unit Rasel, leaders Noman and Siddique.
Apart from this, eight Shibir men were held from Mejortila Mess, two from Surma and another from Jallarpar area.
