DHAKA: Export Promotion Bureau Bangladesh (EPB) has introduced online payment system for its registered organizations of Textile Division, said a press release.
The news release said, earlier, the registered organizations used to pay all EPB fees manually, which was inconvenient and time consuming for the exporters.
In this regard, Export Promotion Bureau Bangladesh (EPB) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with BRAC Bank Limited to introduce online payment system for its registered organizations in line with implementing Digital Bangladesh and ensuring corporate governance.
The deal will ensure transparency and accountability in EPB’s textile division the e-payment gateway is introduced for the exporters of textile and clothing.
BRAC Bank with its real time online banking system is currently serving more than 1.2 million individual customers to provide world-class technology based financial services among the general people of Bangladesh.
The function was graced, among others, by Commerce Minister GM Quader, ABM Abul Qasem, MP, Chairman of Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Commerce and M Ghulam Hussain, Secretary, Ministry of Commerce.
