DHAKA: Investors witnessed gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Wednesday.
The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) general index rose over 10 points to stand at 4,424 at the close on the fourth trading day of the week.
Trade deals stood at 184,041 with transaction at Tk 8,699 million. Of the issues traded, 145 advanced, 109 declined and 18 remained unchanged.
TITASGAS topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 643 million having changed hands.
The other turnover leaders were MPETROLEUM, UNITEDAIR, JAMUNAOIL, BSCCL, UNIQUEHRL, MICEMENT, BEXIMCO, RNSPIN and KEYACOSMET.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8,574 by gaining over 81 points.
Out of the issues traded, 96 gained, 80 declined and 15 remained unchanged.
