DHAKA: The name of newly constructed student hall of Dhaka University has been fixed as Bijoy 71.
A syndicate meeting of the varsity held on Sunday night chaired by Vice Chancellor AAMS Arefin Siddique took the decision.
Regarding the matter, the VC told banglanews, “Independence is our highest noble achievement. Syndicate took the decision to spread the achievement among young generation.
The name will be approved in next senate meeting. Earlier, the name of the hall was fixed as Bhashani hall.
