Communication suspended on 6 routes

COMILLA: Rail communications on six routes, including Dhaka-Chittagong-Sylhet remained suspended as a goods train derailed in district Sadar area early Tuesday.

Assistant Executive Engineer of Railway eastern zone Hamidul Haque told banglanews, “Four wheels of a Dhaka-bound goods train derailed in front of Maynamati rail station at about 1am, disrupting the rail communication on the routes.”
 
Two rescue trains from Laksam and Akhaura are working to clear the line.

The rail communication is expected to be resumed by noon, he said.
